This Timken PB series stamped steel pillow block bearing unit is composed of a zinc-plated stamped steel housing equipped with two bolt holes for applications where mounting space is limited. Within the housing is a double rubber sealed single row ball bearing that has a wide, extended inner ring for providing additional support to the shaft. The balls are evenly spaced on the raceways with a heat-stabilized, moisture-conditioned nylon retainer for reduced friction, vibration, and noise. The bearing locks to the shaft with an eccentric (asymmetric) self-locking collar that is further secured with a setscrew. The unit is lubricated at manufacture and requires no additional lubrication over the lifetime of the unit.
