The motor drives the rotor to rotate at a constant speed through a variable rate. When the rotor rotates in a liquid, the liquid will produce a viscosity torque acting on the rotor. The greater the viscosity of the liquid, the greater the viscous torque, and vice versa. The sensor detected the viscous torque acting on the rotor and processed it by the computer to obtain the viscosity of the measured liquid. This instrument uses microcomputer technology innovation to set the range (rotor number and speed) conveniently and digitally process the data detected by the sensor. Clearly, it shows the rotor number, rate, viscosity value of the measured liquid and its percentage value of full scale, etc., during the measurement. NDJ-5S/9S is equipped with 4 types of rotors (No. 1, 2, 3, 4) and 4 speeds (6, 12, 30, 60 rpm), 16 combinations of which can measure the viscosity value of various liquids within the measurement range. NDJ-9s also have a temperature measuring device, which can directly display the temperature on the screen, and the viscosity change value caused by the temperature change can be observed.
