From the Manufacturer This Adjustable Restraint Lanyard features 2 snap hooks at the attachment end and a #18 rebar hook at the anchorage end. This single-leg construction lanyard adjusts from 4-1/2-feet to 6-feet and utilizes a 1-inch polyester webbing for resistance to UV light and abrasion. The webbing has a tensile strength of 9,800 pounds and features embedded wear-indicating threads. A StayPut buckle allows the length of the lanyard to be adjusted to eliminate unnecessary free-fall. Both ends of this lanyard feature a steel thimble for extra resistance to wear, while the end terminations feature wear pads for additional safety and long life. The Shock Absorbing Lanyard is the active component of a Personal Fall Arrest System. Shock Absorbing Lanyards are part of a category of goods referred to as Connecting Devices, which are intended to connect the back D-ring of you Full Body Harness to the anchorage at your work position. In the event of a fall, a Shock Absorbing Lanyard will not only arrest the fall, preventing you from hitting the next lower level, they will reduce the forces of impact on your body.
